Both variants are not only important for users of the pages, but also for search engines, because they can only follow working links. Especially with complex pages, dead links are rarely noticed, because seldom someone continuously checks their functionality. 

With our Dead Link Checker individual pages can be continuously checked for their function. There are different configuration options. The number of parallel requests can be set to prevent too many requests being sent to the page. External URLs can be generally excluded and individual pages can be explicitly ignored.
